CLOSED for RSVP – Private Van Tour Participants Were Drawn and Notified

This is notification of a chance drawing to get a spot on a special field trip. The trip will be a private bus tour of the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge on Jan 2nd. We only have 10 spots on the bus, in addition to the trip leaders and driver (MINWR volunteer). The exact meeting time and location will be communicated to the 10 individuals are who are confirmed for this trip. The bus will travel to sections of MINWR not open to the public which require special access permission. Therefore, we cannot permit any cars to follow the bus. Only the 10 confirmed passengers can join.

**If you are interested in participating and can definitely attend, please RSVP to this meetup or send an email to Rochelle Hood (host) at [email protected] by Monday, 26 Dec at 4pm.** Rochelle will conduct a random chance drawing from all the names on the list of interested participants. She will select 10 people and 2 alternates in the event of a last minute cancellation. The trip will be approximately 2.5 to 4 hours, depending on birds seen and will depart in the morning. The bus ride and trip are free. Tip donations are appreciated and will be given to MIWA (non-profit that support the MINWR).
