Sams House at Pine Island (Bird Walk)

Join the Naturalist Staff of Sams House to look and listen for birds around the park. From beginner to expert, all levels of birders are welcome. Rob Lane will share birding tips, highlight recent sightings and educate the group on identification methods.

Sams House has bathroom facilities, a nature store in the pioneer house and fully accessible paved paths. The nature trails have some benches for guests who prefer to sit and take nature in. The property has a new filtered water refill station. Picnic tables are available if you would like to stay after the Bird Walk to sit and enjoy a snack. The picnic area is a great viewing spot for warblers, kinglets and creatures visiting the native plant gardens.

Please bring: water, binoculars, bug repellent, and shoes that can get muddy or wet. If the weather is cooler, a jacket is recommended.
